Programs that turn potential into progress

Scholarships open the door — programs help students walk through it. Our programs combine practical guidance, mentorship, and community connection to help students plan for college, choose the right path, and thrive once they're enrolled.

College Readiness

From choosing schools to submitting applications, we walk families through every step of the college process. Free workshops cover the Common App, essay writing, testing strategy, campus visits, and how to compare financial aid offers side by side. We also help students identify safety, match, and reach schools that fit their goals and finances.

Career Development

Not every student is bound for a four-year university, and that's a strength. Our career development track connects students with community college advisors, trade programs, apprenticeships, and local employers in nursing, allied health, skilled trades, education, information technology, and public service. We help students choose a credential, plan a timeline, and understand the earning potential of each path.

Mentoring

Every scholarship recipient can be matched with a volunteer mentor — an adult from our region who has walked a similar path. Mentors check in regularly, listen more than they lecture, and help students navigate the everyday questions that classrooms don't answer. Mentors are trained, background-checked, and supported by our staff.

Financial Literacy

Financial literacy is one of the most powerful tools we can put in a student's hands. Our workshops cover budgeting on student income, understanding student loans, choosing a bank, building credit responsibly, avoiding predatory lending, and planning for taxes on the first real paycheck.

Leadership Development

Students who lead in their communities become adults who lead in their communities. We host leadership cohorts, service projects, and peer mentoring circles where students set goals, learn to run a meeting, speak in public, and coach one another through hard weeks.

Community Service

Every scholarship recipient is invited to complete community service hours in their hometown. Service is a two-way street: it gives back to the community that has supported the student, and it builds the confidence, references, and network that lead to great jobs.

Student Workshops

Throughout the year we host free, open workshops on FAFSA completion, personal statement writing, résumé building, interview preparation, and campus life. Workshops are held in schools, libraries, churches, and community centers across East Mississippi.

Educational Resources

Our Resources page is a curated library of free tools: scholarship search engines, college planning checklists, FAFSA guides, budgeting worksheets, career quizzes, and links to trusted state and federal programs. Everything is free and can be downloaded.

Parent Resources

Parents and caregivers are the most important influence in a student's life. We provide plain-language guides on how to support your student through applications, financial aid, and the transition to college — even if you didn't attend college yourself.

Community Outreach

We show up. Our team attends college and career fairs, hosts information tables at community events, and speaks at churches, civic clubs, and community meetings. If your school, church, or business would like us to visit, please contact us.

Programs are stronger when the community shows up

Volunteers make our programs possible. Mentors, workshop hosts, employer partners, and event volunteers each play a role.
